From the time the Ohio Fast Draw Association was formed, there was a hand rule. It started out that the hand had to be six inches from the gun. As time went on that became clear distance between the hand and gun. In 2010 the lawman ready rule was passed. Hand can now hold the gun. The hard work of Susie Searls has made these records from 1975 to 2009 a part of our history. This was done in part to honor those shooters we have lost, who made records and broke records using the six inch rule or clear distance. These shooters were the pioneers of fast draw. We salute you.....
