Robert age 63, of Hudson, dies Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He was born April 6, 1947 in Avery County to Gertrude Coffey Isaacs of Banner Elk, and the late Charles Coffey.
Mr. Coffey was security manager of Broyhill Furniture Industries, was an Avery Deputy Sheriff and a member of the Ohio Fast Draw Association. He was also a United States Marine Vietnam Veteran.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Debra Ann "GMaw" Coffey of the home, daughters Roberta Cox of Boone, Crystal Bristol of Granite Falls, Jennifer Barlow of Lenoir and Kimberly (Jason) Parsons of Conover, brothers Dean (Jeanette) of Banner Elk, Ralph (Brenda) of Newland, sisters Clariece (Jimmy) Cannon of Valle Cruis, and sister Sharon Wilson of Lenoir, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Interment at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors
