Our world of fast draw has lost a truly fine gentleman and supporter. Fred Hopkins "Hondo" Bratton passed away on September 27, 2011, after a long illness, Fred was 74. Born on April 24, 1937 in Bourbon County.
Fred was a Air Force and Navy veteran. Inurnment was at Camp Nelson National Cemetry, in Nicholasville, KY. Fred is survived by twin sons, and his many adopted fast draw children.....he loved us all.
Hondo was the host of the Longhorn Gulch Shootout held in Nicholasville Ky. For five years he held the contest along with sponsors Toyota on Nicholasville.
