COVID-19/ 2020 SEASON
Dear OFDAI Members,
Executive Board has been monitoring the events of the past few months, as I am sure many of you have. We have voted to delay the start of the season until September. The first contest of the 2020 season will be the Six Guns Contest at the end of September. We will then have the 60th Anniversary Contest and the Year End Contest. Due to the lack of Contests this year, the Top Gun Awards have been suspended for 2020.
if the threat of the virus is not gone, as we get closer to the September date, the Board will once again vote on whether to proceed or cancel the season. My hope is that this isolation and Stay at Home order is effective at stopping the spread. At the very least I hope a vaccination or effective treatment will be available by then. The CDC expects this to re-occur again in the fall, so we will be3 monitoring this closely.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me. I want to thank each of you for your feedback and support during this time. We will get through this and see each other again soon. Make sure to appreciate those around you, help those that need it and wash your hands.
Best Regards,
Tony Wisen
