The Buckeye Rangers Fast Draw Club originated in Lake County, Ohio in 1982, by a group of dedicated fast draw shooters.   They had a common interest in the national sport of fast draw, western history, cowboys and gunslingers.  This was combined with the promotion of SAFE handling of firearms.   These interests and values became the core of the Rangers.

The Buckeye Rangers have competed and performed Wild West shows throughout the United States and parts of Canada.

Currently the Rangers are affiliated with several national associations.   These associations include the NRA, OFDAI, Marine Corp League, Gunny's Hall and the American Gunsmithing Association.

The Buckeye Rangers are incorporated as a "not for profit" organization.  Funds raised through shows, competition events, and sponsors are used to promote the sport of fast draw, firearm history, safety, and the education of western lore. The Rangers donate to several organizations and scholarships.

The Buckeye Rangers are insured for shows and competition through the National Sanction of the OFDAI

Yankee Raiders Fast Draw Club is located in Wellington, Ohio and was formed in 2008. Raiders are a family affair, which goes to show, the family that shoots together, stays together! We got our name from the Southern shooter Larry Atcheson..who has always, with much affection, I hope, called me  a Yankee! For more information on our club check out our Facebook page, and like us!

Rusty Guns Fast Draw Club was formed in 2007.  Mike Dobson
and Larry Atcheson, decided the “Empire State of the South”, Georgia, needed a
club.  Larry came up with the Rusty Guns, because years ago he had seen a baseball team named the “Rusty Guns”, and always thought that would be a great name for a Fast Draw Club.   The Rusty Guns were formed for several reasons, the first being to instruct it’s members on competition and to preserve the great art of fast draw, and by educating the public on safe handling of fire arms. 

Mike Dodson will tell you they want to keep Fast Draw alive and well, and to preserve the memory of the
old west for future generations.  Fast Draw is a wonderful family sport that everyone can enjoy. The competitive nature of the shooter who participates in the art will be challenged; one will become addicted, and
want to be faster and accurate.

The Lake Erie Six Guns Fast Draw Club originated in Ashtabula County, Ohio in 2007.   It is a group of dedicated fast draw shooters.   Their interest in the National sport of fast draw, western history, cowboys and gunslingers as well as promoting safe handling of firearms became the core of the Six Guns.
The Lake Erie Six Guns have competed and preformed thoughout the United States.   Currently the Six Guns are affilliated with several national associations including NRA, and OFDAI.

The Lake Erie Six Guns are registed as a "Not for Profit" organization raising funds through show, sponsors and competition.  Those funds are used to promote the sport of fast draw, gun safety, history of firearms and the education of Western lore.

The Banshees were the pioneers in establishing the Ohio Fast Draw
Ass’n over 50 years ago and are the oldest existing club. 
The club was formed in Sandusky,Ohio and named after a World War II submarine crew of one of the members. Over the years they have worked as train robbers at Cedar Point, marched in costume in many parades, performed at festivals and gave lots of gun safety lectures to the Boy Scouts.

Many fast draw shooters started out in the Banshees and then moved away and started new clubs increasing the membership.

The Banshees meet every Saturday night and practice. 
Anyone interested in the sport are cordially welcome then or any
convenient time.
